Target has teamed up with Disney and Marvel to expand its popular Pillowfort bedding line, introducing a magical collection of over 50 items. Launched in March 2025, this assortment—crafted by Target’s in-house design team—features hooded blankets, sheet sets, quilts, glow-in-the-dark comforters, figural dolls, and pillows. Available now on Target’s website and hitting most stores by late April, the collection keeps affordability in mind, with most pieces priced under $30 and larger items like quilts and comforters under $65.

Zak Stambor, senior retail analyst at Emarketer, noted, “Target’s Disney and Marvel collections are poised to resonate thanks to modest price points and rising trust in private labels.”

Target’s partnership with Disney and Marvel isn’t new. Since launching 25 Disney shop-in-shops in 2019—now expanded to over 200—the retailer has offered toys, apparel, and more. Past highlights include a “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” collaboration with Marvel Studios and the Disney100 Retro Reimagined collection. The Pillowfort expansion builds on this foundation, bringing beloved characters into home decor with a fresh, budget-friendly twist.

Pillowfort, introduced in 2016, is one of Target’s nearly 50 private labels spanning apparel, home goods, and food—several of which generate $1 billion to $2 billion annually. The retailer’s low-priced Dealworthy brand, launched in February 2024, ranked among the fastest-growing private labels last year, per Numerator. This Disney-Marvel collaboration underscores Target’s ongoing investment in its store brands, appealing to cost-conscious families without sacrificing style or quality.

Target faced challenges in Q3 2024, missing expectations and lowering its full-year forecast. However, a Q4 preview showed a holiday rebound, with November-December sales up 2.8% year over year.
